So lately my stress level has been really high. On Saturday, little Emma and Macey were chasing each other around the dining room when my crazy neighbor came over to tell us to keep it down, it sounded like a marching band was coming through the wall. Since Emma and Macey weigh maybe 50 pounds together, I am not sure how their pitter-patters make up a marching band.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that he has complained about the "horrendous noise", and the frustrating thing is that it has been during the daytime: 9 am, 11 am, 3 pm, and I just feel like my girls should be allowed to make noise during the day because they are kids. And that's their job.
But instead of brushing his craziness off, I've allowed it to affect me and my day and my kids. I'm constantly shushing my kids and the dog, and I'm wondering, how do you stay sane in a land of crazies?

Okay, I'd say the neighbor is a little "not nice"! I had one of those neighbors when my kids were little, she used to complain about the kids in the back yard, in the middle of the day, but her dog barked constantly and that didn't seem to bother her. I would say unless it's after 11:00 p.m., which in most states is the cut-off when "reasonable noise" can occur, I would let the girls play and make all the noise you can tolerate. He obviously doesn't have any children? How dare he try to shush my little princesses!
Somebody tell that crazy neighbor (who is in his late 20's/early 30's)to get a job!!
That would drive me CRAZY also! Aren't those townhomes supposed to have a noise barrier i.e. fire barrier between them even though they are connected? It CAN'T be that loud! Don't let it worry you too much, let the girls have fun!
My dear friend, give the girls some pots and pans to bang on and buy them a drum set. Then, after a few weeks of real noise, you can take it all away and he'll be so glad for the break!
Garry, did you ever get ahold of Luke Doyle? He emailed you guys...
We had a noisy neighbor in Texas. The difference was that he was a grown man playing the chicken dance at full blast in the middle of the night. I tell you this to let you know that he can't do anything to you. Even if he called the police, like we had to do a couple times, they would tell him that it's the middle of the day and kdis will be kids. So, release the herd!
Pretty much I hate your neighbor.
