The Curse of the Middle Name

Macey's middle name is Grace. And, we have to admit, she lacks a little grace. Yesterday at church in the parking lot she tripped (ka-boom!) over a parking divider. Not quite sure how she missed it, but she did, until her foot found it in the worst possible way. She's also the most likely to fall down on a simple walk down the sidewalk or to really, really bang up her knee on the playground. For her, Grace has been a curse.

Then there's Miss Molly Joy Cunningham. As her mama, I have to admit that she's kind of moody and tempermental. There's one place she likes to be, with me, and she's willing to scream her way into that spot. Sometimes in the midst of her screaming fits we wish that she could find, um, some joy.

If we have another kid, and, of course, it will be a boy, I think that we'll name him Jack Ugly Grouch Cunningham.

If history teaches you anything here...Jack will be happy and easy going...hmm maybe you are on to something here. Name reverse psychology.

we still aren't buying that Molly's not always a joy

You could call him JUG :)

If our kids live up to their middle hype, then we should give our next kid a middle name like: "billion dollar winner", "lottery winner", "NFL MVP", "future president", "future prophet", etc.

They are beautiful names and one day I'm sure they'll live up to them . . . so Garry you need to have that next kid so you can give him one of your middle names!

Our 2nd child, Rome, lived up to his name, and for the first 3 years of life that's what he did - roam.

By the way, Frankie is actually Lynda, your cousin Scott's wife. :D I love reading your blog! It is a great JOY!
