We lost sweet Oreo in June 2023.
Oreo was cranky and demanding. She would stare me down, wait by the gate to be fed and never ventured far from her bowls. She hated to be held.
But she was gorgeous, and she was mine.
I think pets in Heaven get to pick where they live.
I hope Oreo picks me because I made many a late night run to Harmon’s to make sure she had her morning banana chunk. I hope she takes that into consideration. And I adopted her crankier sister so they could stay together. Bonus heavenly home points, I think. I bought her balls and blankets and chew toys and tunnels. I wish I could have bought us more time.
