A Pure Heart

I try to keep books in front of my kids.  We go to the library, a lot, go to the bookstore on special occasions, and regular ones, and if I receive a youth book from a publisher to review, I let my kids look at it, too.

We also listen to books on CD in the car.  We listened to Jack by Liesl Shurtliff.  For several months we listened to the Michael Vey series.  We have started listening to Diary of a Wimpy Kid.  It's perfect for the car because his stories are short and funny.

Listening to it yesterday, we got to the part where Greg is lamenting the quality of kids in his neighborhood and told the story of a neighbor boy who broke in and vandalized the school.

"What does vandalized mean?" Molly asked.

"It means he broke into the school without permission when no one was there," Macey said.

"To do what?  Finish his homework early?" Molly asked.

She has the purest heart.  I love her.
